If you are a Realtor listing a home in Hawthorn be sure to provide your prospects with a copy of the Covenants and Restrictions and of the By Laws! All homes in Hawthorn are deed restricted. When closing on a home, the title company will need verification that there are no outstanding dues or assessments. Please contact one of the co-Treasurers, Dave Childs- firstname.lastname@example.org. or Nich Romanov- email@example.com. They will provide a statement for the title company. Please keep in mind that homes in Hawthorn are built on small lots. The Hawthorn Neighborhood may not be right for your prospect if they need fenced yards for kids or pets. Fencing of any kind is prohibited. Also, large or noisy dogs can cause problems as can homeowners that are not accustomed to maintaining their homes in neat and attractive condition. The Association has the authority to enforce maintenance and appearance standards on all homes.
About the Annual Dues -
The dues due on June 30th of each year.
The dues amount is determined each year at the annual meeting, held the last Monday in January.
Dues cover the calendar year from January 1st to December 31st.
Most of the annual budget goes toward maintenance of the Common Areas and paths (more detail is provided in the Treasurer's Report which can be downloaded from the Hawthorn Documents section of this web site).
